Paid vs Organic Metrics Tracked Across Conviva Social Insights

Conviva measures paid and organic content performance on Facebook and Instagram, and organic content performance on Twitter and Yotuube.

Twitter: Organic impressions, organic video views, and any public engagements on published tweets, so if those tweets are promoted, we will also collect the promoted engagements. 

Facebook: All customers have the ability to see their published posts on Facebook under the "Analytics" tab. If you boost a post that is published to your page, we report the total video views, engagements and impressions, and provide a breakout of

  • Paid/Organic Impressions

  • Paid/Organic Video Views

With the "Paid Social" add-on, you have the ability to measure Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and Instagram Boosted Posts. For any Ad Posts published to Facebook, Instagram, or any Boosted Post on Instagram, you will receive the following metrics:

Instagram: Instagram metrics are organic only, with Instagram ad posts and boosted metrics available in the "Paid Social" add-on feature.

YouTube: If a video published to your YouTube channel is also promoted with TrueView video ads, any paid views will also be included in your video’s public YouTube total view count, only if the video is longer than 11 seconds.

In Conviva Social Insights, Total Video Views for Youtube is defined as: the total view count (inclusive of paid + organic) if a video is longer than 11 seconds, following YouTube’s methodology.
